Body Clock Privacy Policy

Effective 30 May 2026 · Last updated 30 May 2026

Summary: Body Clock does not collect personal data, contains no advertising, and uses no analytics or third-party SDKs. Your trips are planned entirely on your device. Any Apple Health data you choose to share is read-only, used only on your device, and never transmitted off it. The only optional cloud feature backs up your trips to your own private iCloud.

1. Information we collect

None. Body Clock does not ask for, collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information. The app has no account system, no login, and no user profile.

2. Apple Health data

Connecting Apple Health is entirely optional, and the app works fully without it. If you grant permission, Body Clock requests read-only access to a small set of Health data to personalise your jet-lag plan:

This data is read from Apple Health and used solely on your device to compute your schedule. Body Clock never writes to Apple Health, and your Health data is never sent off your device, never uploaded to our servers, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising or marketing. You can review or revoke this access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Body Clock.

3. On-device processing

All planning — direction, timing, light and sleep windows, melatonin and caffeine timing — is computed locally on your device. No part of your trip or your health data is sent off the device for processing.

4. iCloud backup

If you are signed in to iCloud, the trips you create (your routes, dates, and sleep preferences) are backed up to Body Clock's private container in your iCloud, under your Apple ID. This lets you keep your trips and continue them on your other devices. MW Supply Limited has no access to, and never receives a copy of, the contents of your iCloud storage. iCloud follows Apple's own privacy practices. If you are not signed in to iCloud, everything stays in local on-device storage. Apple Health data is never included in this backup.

5. Notifications

Body Clock can schedule local notifications to remind you about upcoming actions in your plan. These reminders are created and delivered entirely on your device by iOS. No notification content is sent to or through any server operated by MW Supply Limited.

6. Network activity

Body Clock makes no network requests to servers owned by MW Supply Limited. The only network activity the app participates in is Apple-operated traffic for iCloud backup of your trips. That traffic stays between your device and Apple.

7. Third-party services

The app contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics frameworks, no advertising networks, and no crash reporting services other than Apple's own first-party crash reporting (which only runs if you have opted in to Share With App Developers in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements).

8. Children

Body Clock collects no data of any kind, so it complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide.

9. Medical disclaimer

Body Clock provides general educational guidance based on published circadian-rhythm research. It is not medical advice and is not a medical device. Consult a qualified clinician before using melatonin or if you have a sleep, cardiac, or other health condition.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how Body Clock handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store privacy nutrition labels for the affected version of the app.
