Summary: Your watch data stays on your device (and in your own iCloud, if you enable sync) — MW Supply Limited operates no servers that receive it and has no account system. The free tier shows ads supplied by Unity Ads, which is what keeps the Timegrapher free; Chronograde Pro removes every ad. Unity receives the technical information described in section 5, and the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow it when iOS asks. There are no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. The app queries public NTP time servers to keep your measurements accurate, and Apple handles all purchases.

Chronograde stores the records you create locally using Apple’s SwiftData framework. We never receive this data on any server of ours:
This data is yours. It is removed when you delete the app, and you can export it at any time from the Watches tab menu (CSV or XLSX).
If iCloud is enabled for Chronograde on your device, the records above are synchronized through your private CloudKit container (iCloud.com.edfd.WatchAccuracy) so they appear on your other devices signed in to the same Apple ID. We have no access to this data — it is stored under your Apple ID in Apple’s infrastructure and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can turn iCloud off for Chronograde at any time in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
The Timegrapher feature listens to your watch ticking to measure its rate and beat error. Audio is processed live, on your device only, to detect tick timing. No audio recording is saved, transmitted, or sent to any server — only the computed numeric results are stored, and only if you choose to save the reading. The microphone is used solely while the Timegrapher screen is active and you have started a measurement.
The free tier of Chronograde shows ads. Advertising is supplied by Unity Ads (Unity Technologies). There are two placements: a banner at the bottom of the screen, and an occasional full-screen ad shown only when you return to the Watches list. Ads never cover the app’s controls, and never appear during a measurement or a Timegrapher session.
Chronograde Pro removes every ad — banner and full-screen — on every device signed in to your Apple ID.
To serve an ad, the Unity Ads SDK collects technical and device information directly from your device, which typically includes your IP address, device model and operating-system version, coarse location derived from IP, language and country, and identifiers used to limit how often you see the same ad and to measure whether an ad led to an install. Unity acts as an independent data controller for this information; its handling is governed by Unity’s own privacy policy, linked above. We do not receive this information, and we never send Unity any of the watch data described in section 2.
Earlier versions of Chronograde used Google AdMob; that SDK has been removed from the app entirely.
Whether Chronograde tracks you is your decision, and the default is no. On first use, iOS presents Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt:
You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or turn it off for all apps there. Chronograde Pro removes the ads entirely, at which point nothing is sent to any advertising network at all.
We do not track you ourselves, do not build profiles, and do not sell or share your personal information. No analytics or crash-reporting SDK is present in the app other than Apple’s own first-party reporting.
All purchases are processed entirely by Apple’s StoreKit. We never see your payment card or Apple ID; Apple only tells the app which product IDs your Apple ID is entitled to. Chronograde offers:

Chronograde makes outbound network requests for only four purposes: (a) stateless SNTP (RFC 4330) time queries to public servers (time.apple.com, time.google.com, pool.ntp.org) to compute clock drift — these contain no personal information; (b) Apple StoreKit calls for purchases; (c) Apple CloudKit calls to sync your own records to your own iCloud, if you have iCloud enabled; and (d) on the free tier only, requests made by the Unity Ads SDK to fetch and measure ads, as described in section 5. Chronograde Pro makes no requests of type (d). There are no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs other than Apple’s own first-party reporting (which runs only if you opted in under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements).
Chronograde uses Apple’s StoreKit, SwiftData/CloudKit, WidgetKit, App Intents and UserNotifications frameworks, which are first-party Apple services. The only non-Apple SDK in the app is the Unity Ads SDK, which serves the free tier’s advertising as described in section 5; it is the only third party that receives any information from this app, and it never receives the watch data described in section 2. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK and User Messaging Platform, used by earlier ad-supported versions, have been removed from the app entirely.
If you turn on the optional daily reminder in Settings, Chronograde schedules a local notification on your device using iOS’s UserNotifications framework. No notification content is sent to any server.
Chronograde is a general-audience utility intended for adult watch owners and is not directed to children, and it is declared as such to our advertising partner so that child-directed ad restrictions are applied correctly. We collect no personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will assist.
If we change how Chronograde handles data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store privacy labels for the affected version of the app.
