Your watch records are stored on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud. We operate no server that receives those records and require no Chronograde account. Optional free-tier advertising uses Unity LevelPlay and Ad Quality. These SDKs start only after both your advertising-data consent and Apple tracking permission. Pro removes advertising.
MW Supply Limited publishes Chronograde. Contact mwsupplylimited@gmail.com about this policy. Version 1.9 adds local session comparisons, wear insights and PDF reports, and replaces direct Unity Ads with LevelPlay. Older versions may still use the direct Unity Ads integration and show contextual ads after tracking permission is declined. Update the app to use the advertising choices described below.
The app stores watch details, optional names, serial numbers, notes, purchase amounts and photos; manual measurements and sessions; saved acoustic results; wear entries; and service history. It also stores preferences such as themes, reminders and advertising consent. These records are not sent to our servers or supplied by Chronograde to the advertising SDKs.
Session comparison and wear insights are calculated on the device from your existing records. Missing wear entries are not inferred. We do not add a customer account, remote analysis service or analytics SDK for these features. On-device feature counters are not uploaded to us.
When iCloud is available and enabled for Chronograde, your records sync through your private CloudKit database under your Apple ID. Apple provides this service under its privacy policy; we have no access to your private database. You can manage iCloud access in iOS Settings.
Free JSON backup and restore remain available. Spreadsheet export is a Pro feature. Deleting a watch normally moves it to the Recycle Bin until you permanently delete it there. Removing the app removes its local container, but may not remove records in iCloud, device backups or files you exported. Manage those copies separately through Apple settings or the destination where you saved them.
The Timegrapher and Regulation Coach process microphone audio on the device while you run a measurement. The app does not save or transmit raw microphone audio. When you save a result, it stores numeric estimates and the recorded measurement details. You can deny or revoke microphone access in iOS Settings; watch records and other non-microphone features remain usable.
Photos you select for a watch are stored with its records and may sync through your private iCloud. Chronograde does not provide these images to Unity.
Pro PDF reports are created locally from the watches, history and options you select. Watch reports exclude serial numbers, notes, monetary amounts and photos by default; you can choose to include them. Session-comparison reports include selected session numbers and recorded measurements, without custom session names or private notes. Reports are presentations of records, not backups or certifications.
Previewing a PDF does not upload it. Sharing or saving through the system Share sheet sends the selected file to the destination you choose, whose privacy practices then apply. Temporary generated PDFs remain in the app’s temporary storage; old generated files are cleaned up when another report is created. Copies you save or send are not removed by that cleanup.
The free tier can display a bottom banner and occasional interstitials at navigation breaks. Version 1.9 uses Unity LevelPlay 9.5.0 and its bundled Ad Quality 9.9.0 with ironSource bidding / iSX demand. No Google advertising SDK or mediation adapter is included.
With the permissions described below, these services process device and advertising identifiers, exchange identifiers, IP address and approximate region, device and connection information, ad interactions, advertising data, performance information and diagnostic information, including crash reports when enabled by the provider. Purposes include delivering and measuring advertising, ad quality, analytics, operation and fraud prevention. Advertising identifiers and interactions may be used for cross-app advertising measurement. This is reflected in the App Store privacy disclosures.
Unity and its advertising partners handle information under the Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy and the ironSource advertising privacy policy. Chronograde does not send them watch records, serial numbers, service notes, watch photos or microphone recordings. We do not operate a separate advertising-profile database.
Advertising data permission is off by default. LevelPlay and Ad Quality are not initialized unless you allow advertising data use in Chronograde and authorize tracking through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. Either refusal leaves the app usable without these SDKs starting. Pro users receive no app-requested ads. Development and TestFlight builds do not initialize these advertising SDKs.
You can withdraw advertising data permission in Settings → Advertising privacy. This removes the banner and stops further Chronograde ad requests. You can also revoke tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. We keep the advertising do-not-sell/share signal enabled.
Withdrawal or purchasing Pro does not erase information already received by a provider or unload code already initialized during the current app session. Use the provider policy links to learn about retention and exercise applicable access, deletion or other privacy rights. We do not promise that a third-party SDK’s internal activity instantly stops or that previously transmitted data is deleted.
Apple processes purchases through StoreKit. The app reads verified product ownership, transaction and renewal information to show access, localized prices, available offers and membership status. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple may provide us aggregate sales, subscription, financial and app-usage reports.
Pro offers monthly and annual subscriptions and the existing lifetime purchase. Introductory offers are available only to eligible customers; the purchase screen shows the actual available terms from Apple. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Manage or cancel through the Membership page or Apple’s subscription settings. Themes are separate purchases. Apple’s standard license agreement applies.
Network activity includes Apple StoreKit, private CloudKit sync when enabled, reference-time queries, optional advertising, and links or sharing destinations you open. Reference-time queries use public NTP servers including time.apple.com, time.google.com and pool.ntp.org. Those operators can see the source IP address of a request; Chronograde does not attach watch records or an account identifier to it.
Daily and service/inactivity reminders use local notifications. You control notification permission in iOS Settings. The app adds no separate remote notification service for these reminders. Apple may provide diagnostics under your device analytics settings; the advertising SDKs also process the diagnostics described in section 6 when initialized.
Chronograde is a general-audience watch utility, not an app directed to children. Advertising remains optional. If you have a concern about a child’s data, contact us or the relevant provider using the policy links above.
