Summary: NutriSnap has no accounts and no servers of ours. Your food log, health data, and meal photos stay on your device and in your own private iCloud. Nothing is sent to us. There are no ads, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.
NutriSnap is developed by MW Supply Limited ("we"). We do not operate our own servers and we do not run an account system. We cannot identify you personally and we never receive your data.
When you scan a meal, the photo is analysed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Vision framework to suggest matching foods. The photo is used only for that recognition and is not uploaded, transmitted, or stored by the app, and is never sent to us or any third party. If you choose a photo from your library, it is read only for the same on-device analysis.
If you connect Apple Health, NutriSnap reads the data you authorise — active and resting energy, steps, exercise time, and optionally your body weight, height, age and biological sex — to show the calories you burn and to personalise your targets. With your permission it also writes the nutrition of foods you log (calories, protein, carbohydrate, fat, fiber, sugar, sodium) and your weight back to Apple Health.
All of this happens between the app and Apple Health on your device. We never receive your health data. In line with Apple's requirements, NutriSnap does not use Health data for advertising, marketing, or data-mining, and does not share it with any third party. You can review or revoke each permission in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → NutriSnap, and toggle the app's use of Health in the Profile tab.
The foods you log, your weight history, your goal, and your preferences are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, this data is also synced through your own private iCloud (Apple's CloudKit) so it appears on your other devices and is restored if you reinstall. That data lives in your Apple Account; we have no access to it and never receive a copy.
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, photos, health data, or any usage analytics. The app contains no advertising and no third-party software development kits that collect data. We have no servers that receive your information.
NutriSnap is intended for a general audience and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It is a wellness tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Because we do not collect personal data on any server we control, we have nothing to retain or delete on our side. All app data stays on your device and in your own iCloud, protected by your device passcode and Apple Account security, and can be removed at any time by deleting the app and removing NutriSnap's data in the Health and iCloud settings.
NutriSnap provides general nutrition and fitness estimates for wellness purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
If we change how NutriSnap handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above, and reflect material changes in the App Store privacy details for the affected version.
