Vaultly is a private photo and video vault for iPhone and iPad. Everything you add is encrypted on your device with AES-256 and kept completely separate from Apple Photos, so your personal media isn't sitting in the one album a thief goes straight for. The whole app is locked behind Face ID, and with Vaultly Pro your vault syncs privately across your own devices through iCloud — where even Apple only ever stores ciphertext.
Vaultly protects your media two ways: encryption keeps the files unreadable on disk and off your device, and Face ID keeps the app itself locked. It is not a cloud service you upload to us — there is no account, and we never see your photos or videos.
Vaultly is free to download. The encrypted vault, viewer, and editor are free for up to 200 items; the free version is supported by a single small banner ad.

Subscriptions are sold through Apple and renew automatically until cancelled; manage or cancel any time in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Prices are always shown in the app in your local currency.
Every photo and video is encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before it is written to storage, with a key held in the iOS Keychain. The files are unreadable without your key, and Vaultly keeps them out of unencrypted device backups. On top of that, the app is gated by Face ID and hides your content in the app switcher.
Yes. Imported media lives only inside Vaultly's encrypted vault and never appears in the Photos app unless you choose to export a copy back to Photos. If your phone is lost or stolen, your Vaultly media isn't in the place most people look first.
Face ID locks the app so someone with your unlocked phone still can't open your vault. Encryption protects the files themselves — on disk and when synced — so they're unreadable even if someone bypasses the app. Vaultly is honest about this: we don't claim to be “unhackable,” we give you a strong second lock and real at-rest encryption.
With Pro, Vaultly syncs your vault across your own devices through your private iCloud. Media is encrypted before it leaves your device, and the encryption key rides Apple's end-to-end-encrypted iCloud Keychain, so even Apple only stores ciphertext. You can turn sync off any time in the app's Settings.
No. Vaultly has no account and no sign-up. Your media stays on your device (and, if you turn on iCloud sync, in your own iCloud).
