Summary: Wardo has no accounts and no servers of ours. The photos of your clothes never leave your device, except to your own private iCloud if you are signed in. We cannot see your wardrobe, your outfits, or what you wore. The free version shows ads, supplied by Unity LevelPlay, which collect some information about your device in order to deliver and measure them (see section 6). Wardo Pro removes all ads.
Wardo is developed by MW Supply Limited (“we”). We do not operate our own servers and we do not run an account system. We cannot identify you personally, and we have no database of users.
When you add an item, Wardo takes the photo you choose and removes its background entirely on your device, using Apple’s on-device Vision framework. No photo is ever uploaded to us or to any third party for processing. There is no image-recognition service behind this app.
The same is true of everything else the app knows: your items, their colours and categories, the outfits you build, what you have worn and when, your planned days, your trips and your packing lists. All of it is stored on your device.
If you are signed in to iCloud, this data is also synced to your own private iCloud database using Apple’s CloudKit, so it stays consistent and backed up across your devices. That data lives in your Apple Account. We have no access to it, we never receive a copy, and we cannot read it. If you are signed out of iCloud, Wardo works fully and keeps everything on the device only.
Wardo does not ask for access to your photo library. When you pick a photo, iOS shows you its own picker, which runs outside the app and hands back only the single image you chose. The app never sees the rest of your library.
If you photograph an item directly, the camera is used only to capture that image, which is then processed on device as described above.
Nothing. Wardo contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no telemetry of our own. The app makes no network requests except those made by the advertising provider described below. We do not know how many items you own, which features you use, or whether you open the app at all.
The free version of Wardo shows banner ads on two screens — your closet grid and your saved outfits — and offers an optional rewarded video you can choose to watch in exchange for extra outfit suggestions. Ads are never shown while you are adding an item, building an outfit, or on the Today screen.
Ads are supplied by Unity LevelPlay (ironSource, part of Unity Technologies). To deliver and measure ads, the advertising provider may collect technical information about your device, such as a device advertising identifier, device model and operating system version, coarse country-level location derived from your IP address, and interactions with the ads themselves.
Your wardrobe is never shared with advertisers. No photo, item, outfit, wear record, plan or packing list is passed to any advertising provider, ever. The ad SDK has no access to that data.
On first launch the app asks, through Apple’s standard App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether you allow tracking. If you decline, the advertising identifier is not made available and you will see less relevant ads — not fewer. We also signal “do not sell” on your behalf when you decline. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Unity’s privacy policy: unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
Wardo Pro removes all advertising, and with it the advertising SDK’s data collection.
Wardo Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, your name, or your email address. We receive only Apple’s confirmation, on your device, that a subscription is active.
Wardo’s Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read a small summary of today’s outfit from a shared storage area on your device. That summary never leaves the device and is not accessible to any other app.
Wardo is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf. You are in full control:
If you are in the EEA, the UK, California or another region with data-protection rights, those rights apply to any personal data a party holds about you. As set out above, we hold none. Requests concerning data held by our advertising provider should be directed to Unity using the link in section 6.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects how the app behaves, note it in the app’s release notes.
