Corynx Sensor Helper
A free companion that unlocks exact temperatures, fan speeds & live SoC power.
Install
- Download the file above and open it — it unzips to CorynxSensorHelper.app (drag it to your Applications folder if you like).
- Double-click it to launch. A dialog appears confirming “Corynx Sensor Helper is running” — click OK (or Open Corynx). It then runs quietly in the background with no menu-bar or Dock icon. Open Corynx and check the Sensors page — it shows when the helper is connected. To stop it later, restart your Mac or quit “CorynxSensorHelper” in Activity Monitor.
- Open Corynx. Exact CPU/GPU temperatures, live fan speeds, and live SoC power (CPU + GPU + Neural Engine watts, sub-second) now appear on the Sensors and detail screens.
To remove it later, just quit it from its menu-bar icon and move the app to the Trash.
Why a separate helper?
macOS does not allow a sandboxed Mac App Store app to read the System Management Controller (SMC), where precise component temperatures and fan RPM come from. On its own, Corynx shows the system thermal-pressure level (Nominal → Critical). The Sensor Helper reads the SMC locally and hands the readings to Corynx on your Mac, so you get exact °C and live fan speeds.
Private by design
- Runs entirely on your Mac and makes no network connections.
- Talks to Corynx only over a private, on-device connection.
- Free — it simply adds the sensor readings to Corynx Pro.
