Corynx shows exactly what your Mac is doing — at a glance in the menu bar, and in depth in a clean dashboard. It tracks CPU load, memory pressure, disk capacity, network throughput, battery level and thermal pressure, with the top processes by CPU. Corynx Pro goes deeper — per-core load, the memory and disk breakdowns, battery health, the GPU module, and real temperatures and fan control. Built entirely in SwiftUI for macOS, Corynx is fast, light, and private: everything stays on your Mac. No account, no tracking, no ads.
Free gives you the headline numbers: CPU load, memory pressure and installed memory, startup-disk capacity, network up and down, battery level and time remaining, thermal pressure explained in plain language, the top processes by CPU, one metric of your choice in the menu bar, and launch-at-login.
Corynx Pro adds the depth: per-core and performance/efficiency cluster load, the memory breakdown and swap activity, every mounted volume including the purgeable space Finder hides, disk throughput and IOPS, per-interface network with link speed, battery health and cycle count and capacity, the live power-flow diagram, history and trend graphs, the full sortable process table, threshold alerts, CSV export, as many menu-bar metrics as you like, and — together with the free Corynx Sensor Helper — real CPU/GPU temperatures, live fan speeds, SoC power draw, fan control and Dust Guard.
The Helper itself is free; the readings it enables are Pro, so you need both. Pro is a Monthly or Annual subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase that never renews.
macOS does not allow a sandboxed Mac App Store app to read the System Management Controller (SMC), which is where precise temperatures and fan RPM come from. On its own, Corynx shows the system thermal-pressure level (Nominal → Critical). To show exact °C and fan RPM, install the free Corynx Sensor Helper — a small, notarized companion that reads the sensors locally and hands them to Corynx on your Mac. Nothing leaves your computer.
Open the membership screen (the crown button in the toolbar, or “Upgrade to Pro” in the sidebar) to see your plan, price and renewal date, and to manage or cancel. Subscriptions are billed by Apple and can also be managed in System Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. On a new Mac or after reinstalling, click Restore Purchases.
No. Corynx samples lightweight system counters on a timer you control and uses a tiny fraction of CPU. Increase the refresh interval in Settings if you want it even lighter.
No. Corynx reads system metrics locally and never transmits them. There are no accounts, no analytics and no ads. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Working somewhere dusty? A spinning fan is a pump, and it is pumping dust through your Mac. Dust Guard holds the fans still while you work, and hands them straight back to macOS the moment anything warms up — it will not start above 55 °C, returns control at 65 °C, gives up for the session at 75 °C, never runs longer than 30 minutes, and reverts by itself if Corynx quits or stops responding.
