Understand your cycle and your patterns — and, if you choose, share a private space with your partner. Grounded in science, private by design. Version 1.0
Duara is for general wellness and education only. It is not a medical device, does not provide a diagnosis, and is not a method of birth control. Predictions are estimates and can be wrong. Always talk to a qualified healthcare provider about your health, and call your local emergency number in an emergency.
Duara helps you log and understand your menstrual cycle. Record your period, symptoms, mood, energy, and more, and Duara learns your rhythm to predict your next period and estimate your fertile window — always with an honest sense of how certain (or uncertain) each estimate is. It explains what each phase of your cycle means, helps you make sense of changes like a late period, and points you toward a clinician when something is worth checking.
Duara has an optional private space for two. In the Us tab you can connect with one partner and then choose, item by item, what to share — nothing is shared just by connecting.
Every kind of sharing is something you turn on yourself and can revoke with one tap. See the Privacy Policy for how partner data travels (Apple's CloudKit sharing — never our servers).
The Us tab also has a playful space to feel closer — on your own or together, with or without a paired partner. Everything here stays private on your device.
Duara is free to use for core tracking and predictions. Duara Plus unlocks deeper, personalised insights and removes ads.
The free version of Duara shows occasional ads through Google AdMob to support development. Ads never block your tracking and never appear on top of what you're logging. Your cycle, symptom, and intimacy data are never shared with the ad network or any advertiser. Subscribe to Duara Plus to remove ads entirely. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Your health data is stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, it is kept in your own private iCloud (end-to-end encrypted when you enable Apple's Advanced Data Protection) — we never see it. We do not sell your reproductive health data and never share it with advertisers or analytics services. You can export or permanently delete everything at any time in Me → Delete all data. Full details are in the Duara Privacy Policy.
Allow notifications so Duara can remind you about your upcoming period, logging, and other reminders you choose. Reminders are scheduled on your device.
You can lock Duara behind Face ID (with passcode fallback) so only you can open your data. Turn this on in Me → Lock with Face ID.
Add a My Cycle widget to your Home or Lock Screen to see your cycle day, phase and next-period range at a glance, plus a Partner widget for your partner's mood and phase. You can also quick-log with Siri or the Shortcuts app — try "Log my period in Duara", "Log my mood in Duara", or "When is my next period in Duara".
Predictions are based on the cycles you log. Every cycle naturally varies, so Duara always shows a likely range and a confidence level rather than a single guaranteed date — and it gets sharper the more you log. Ovulation and the fertile window are estimates and can be off by several days.
If you log your basal body temperature, Duara looks for the sustained temperature rise that follows ovulation and will mark ovulation as confirmed (retrospectively) for that cycle, which sharpens your next-period prediction. It's a body-literacy estimate to help you understand your cycle — it is not a fertility test and not a method of contraception.
Only what you switch on, one data type at a time — and you can check exactly what (if anything) has left your device in the in-app Privacy Receipt (Us → Sharing). Your fertile/ovulation days are never shared unless you turn on that separate toggle, and your full log, symptoms and notes never leave your device.
No. Duara is not a contraceptive and has not been cleared by the FDA to prevent pregnancy. You can become pregnant on any day of your cycle. To avoid pregnancy, use a proven method of contraception and talk to a healthcare provider.
A late period is very common and is usually a delayed one — stress, illness, travel, disrupted sleep, intense training, weight change, or starting/stopping birth control can all push ovulation (and your period) later. If your period might be late and pregnancy is possible, a home test is the simplest way to check. Open I have a concern in the app for general information, and see a clinician if a period is more than a week late without explanation or you have no period for 90+ days.
Yes — Duara works on iPhone and iPad.
Open Me → Delete all data to permanently remove everything from your device (and your iCloud, if sync is on). Deleting the app also removes its on-device data.
