Kinbell Privacy Policy

Effective 17 June 2026 · Last updated 17 June 2026

Summary: Kinbell has no account system and we operate no servers that hold your personal data. Your reminders — including any medication details — are stored on your device and synced through your own private iCloud. Reminders you share with family are end-to-end encrypted so only your group can read them; not even we can. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which may use a device advertising identifier; Kinbell Pro removes ads.

1. Who we are

Kinbell is developed by MW Supply Limited ("we"). We do not run our own servers for your data and we do not operate an account system, so we cannot identify you personally.

2. Your reminders, Activity & settings

The reminders you create (including titles, times, and any medication or dose notes you add), your Activity history (a record of reminders you've acknowledged), and your preferences are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, they are also synced to your own private iCloud database (using Apple's CloudKit) so they stay up to date and backed up across your devices. That data lives in your Apple Account; we have no access to it and never receive a copy.

3. Health-related information

If you use Kinbell for medication reminders, the medication name and dose you type are simply text in your reminder. We do not integrate with Apple Health, we do not collect this information, and it is never sent to us. It is stored like any other reminder — on your device and in your private iCloud — and, if you share the reminder with a family group, it is end-to-end encrypted (see section 4). Kinbell is a reminder tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice.

4. Family Sharing

If you choose to create or join a family group, the reminders shared within that group are stored in Kinbell's iCloud database (Apple's CloudKit) only so they can be delivered to the other members' devices. Before a shared reminder leaves your device, its contents (the title, times, dose, and who it's for) are encrypted with a key derived from your group's invite code. Only people who have that invite code can decrypt and read it. We do not have the invite code and cannot read your shared reminders. When someone acknowledges a reminder you sent ("Taken" / "I'm up"), that acknowledgement is likewise encrypted and visible only to your group. Members of your group can, by design, see the reminders shared in the group; share an invite code only with people you trust.

5. Advertising (free version)

The free version of Kinbell displays ads through Google AdMob. To show ads, AdMob may collect and process limited information such as a device advertising identifier, general (coarse) location inferred from your IP address, and ad-interaction data. This is handled by Google in accordance with its policies; see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.

On iOS, apps must ask permission before tracking you across other companies' apps and websites; you can decline, and you can review or limit ad personalisation under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising. Subscribing to Kinbell Pro removes all ads, and with it any ad-related data collection.

6. Subscriptions

Kinbell Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple. Purchases, billing, and renewals are handled entirely by Apple under your Apple Account; we never see your payment details. The app only learns whether a valid subscription is active.

7. Notifications & alarms

The app schedules local notifications and, on iOS 26 and later, alarms (via Apple's AlarmKit) on your device to alert you when a reminder fires. These are created and delivered on your device by the system.

8. Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, location history, or health data, and we run no analytics of our own. The name you enter for Family Sharing is stored only on your device and, encrypted, within your group's data. Aside from the advertising described in section 5 (free version only), Kinbell contains no third-party trackers.

9. Children

Kinbell is a general-purpose utility suitable for all ages and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Data retention & deletion

Because we hold no personal data on servers we control, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side. Your reminders live on your device and in your own iCloud and can be removed at any time by deleting them or deleting the app. Shared reminders are removed from the group's data when you delete them or leave the group.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how Kinbell handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above, and reflect material changes in the App Store privacy details for the affected version.
