The app reads videos and writes media with the minimum permissions iOS provides:
All editing — trimming, speed, color, pixelation — and all face and object tracking is performed locally on your device. Face detection and object tracking use Apple's on-device Vision framework. No frame of your video is ever sent off the device for processing.
If you subscribe to Pro and enable iCloud sync, your projects (including imported clips and edit settings) are stored in Lumacut's private container in your iCloud, under your Apple ID. This lets you back up projects and continue them on your other devices. MW Supply Limited has no access to, and never receives a copy of, the contents of your iCloud storage. iCloud sync follows Apple's own privacy practices. If you leave sync off, everything stays in local on-device storage.
Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription via Apple's In-App Purchase. All purchase and payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We receive aggregated, anonymous sales reports from App Store Connect; we do not receive your name, email address, billing details, or any personally-identifying information about subscribers.
Lumacut makes no network requests to servers owned by MW Supply Limited. The only network activity the app participates in is Apple-operated traffic for the Photos picker, StoreKit (subscription verification), and iCloud (Pro project sync). All of that traffic stays between your device and Apple.
The app contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics frameworks, no advertising networks, and no crash reporting services other than Apple's own first-party crash reporting (which only runs if you have opted in to Share With App Developers in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements).
Lumacut collects no data of any kind, so it complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide.
If we change how Lumacut handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store privacy nutrition labels for the affected version of the app.
