Lumacut Privacy Policy

Effective 5 July 2026 · Last updated 5 July 2026

Summary: Your videos are edited entirely on your device and are never uploaded to us. The free version of Lumacut shows a banner ad from Google AdMob, which collects limited device and ad-interaction data to serve those ads. Upgrading to Lumacut Pro removes all ads. The optional iCloud feature stores projects in your own private iCloud. We have no account system and run no servers of our own.

1. Who we are

Lumacut is developed by MW Supply Limited (“we”). This policy explains what stays on your device and what is processed by the limited third-party services we use to show ads (free version) and to offer an optional Pro upgrade. The app has no account system and no backend of our own.

2. Your videos and photos

Lumacut reads videos and writes media with the minimum permissions iOS provides:

Your video content is never transmitted to us and is never shared with the advertising service below.

3. On-device processing

All editing — trimming, speed, color, effects, pixelation, titles — and all face and object tracking and caption transcription is performed locally on your device, using Apple's on-device Vision and Speech frameworks. No frame of your video, and no audio, is ever sent off the device for processing.

4. Advertising (free version)

The free version of Lumacut is supported by a single banner ad shown at the bottom of the home screen. It is served by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). To serve it, Google may collect and process information including:

This information is collected and used by Google, not by us, under Google's Privacy Policy and as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. MW Supply Limited only receives aggregate, non-identifying reports such as ad impressions and estimated revenue. Your videos are never shared with Google or used to target ads.

App Tracking Transparency. iOS asks whether Lumacut may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track,” the advertising identifier is not used and you will see only non-personalized ads. You can use every feature either way.

Consent (EEA, UK & other regions). Where required by law, Lumacut uses Google's User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown, and respects your choice.

Removing ads. Upgrading to Lumacut Pro removes the banner entirely. While you are a Pro member, the app does not request or display ads and shows no tracking prompt.

5. iCloud project sync (Pro feature)

If you subscribe to Pro and enable iCloud sync, your projects (including imported clips and edit settings) are stored in Lumacut's private container in your iCloud, under your Apple ID. This lets you back up projects and continue them on your other devices. MW Supply Limited has no access to, and never receives a copy of, the contents of your iCloud storage. iCloud follows Apple's own privacy practices. If you leave sync off, everything stays in local on-device storage.

6. Subscriptions & payments

Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription via Apple's In-App Purchase. All purchase, billing, renewals, and refunds are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit — we never see or store your name, card number, or Apple ID. To unlock Pro, the app checks your purchase entitlement directly with the App Store on your device; this check does not identify you to us. We receive only aggregated, anonymous sales reports from App Store Connect.

7. Network activity

Apart from the advertising and purchase services described above — and, for Pro subscribers who enable it, syncing projects to your own private iCloud — Lumacut makes no network requests of its own and has no servers to talk to. Your videos are never transmitted to us, and in the free version they never leave your device.

8. Third-party services

To show ads in the free version, Lumacut includes two SDKs, both from Google:

Both are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Lumacut contains no analytics frameworks and no crash reporting other than Apple's own first-party reporting (governed by Apple's privacy policy, and only if you opted in to Share With App Developers in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements). Pro members are not shown ads, and the app does not request ads for them.

9. Permissions and identifiers

Lumacut requests access to the photo library only to import clips you select and to save exports you create, and to speech recognition only to transcribe audio on-device for captions. The advertising identifier is used only for ads in the free version, and only if you allow tracking as described in section 4.

10. Children

Lumacut is a general-audience app. Because the free version shows ads, we instruct Google to serve only family-appropriate (maximum content rating G) ads, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Upgrading to Lumacut Pro removes all ads.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how Lumacut handles data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store privacy nutrition labels for the affected version of the app.
