Summary: Onyx has no account and no first-party analytics, and MW Supply Limited runs no servers that receive your data. Your browsing — including anything you type and any website logins — stays on your device, and the files you download or import stay on your device (and, if you choose, in Apple Photos, Files, or your own iCloud). The free tier shows ads through Google AdMob and asks App Tracking Transparency permission before using an advertising identifier.
Onyx has no account system, no login to us, and no first-party analytics, and MW Supply Limited operates no servers that receive your data. Your browsing data and the files you download or import are stored locally in the app's own storage and are not uploaded anywhere unless you choose to save them to Apple Photos, the Files app, or your own iCloud. The only data processing beyond your own device is done by the advertising provider on the free tier, described in section 6.
Onyx includes a web browser built on Apple's WebKit. Pages you visit, cookies, and anything you type — including any usernames or passwords you enter to log in to a website — are handled by WebKit and stored only in the app's own storage on your device. This information is used solely to load the pages you ask for. It is never sent to MW Supply Limited, and we cannot see your browsing or your logins. You can clear the browser's data at any time in the app's Settings.
Downloading is always something you start yourself — Onyx never scans a page for media or downloads anything automatically. When you choose to download a file, Onyx fetches it to a temporary location and then writes it to the app's own library and, if you choose, to Apple Photos or the Files app. Photos access is requested as add-only by default, so the app can add files you save without reading the rest of your photo library. No file is ever sent to MW Supply Limited.
Your files, browsing history, and bookmarks are stored in the app's own sandbox on your device. Your in-app preferences are stored locally using iOS's standard mechanisms and are not transmitted anywhere. You can delete files and clear your history at any time inside the app. Files you move to the Face ID-protected private vault remain on your device and are gated behind Face ID or your device passcode.
Onyx Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's In-App Purchase using StoreKit. Your purchase, payment, and renewals are handled entirely by Apple under your Apple Account; MW Supply Limited never sees your name, your Apple ID, or your card or payment details. Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled any time in your Apple Account settings.
The free tier of Onyx shows advertising provided by Google AdMob. If you subscribe to Onyx Pro, the app shows no ads at all and the AdMob SDK is not started.
If you enable iCloud sync, Onyx uses Apple's iCloud to mirror your Files library and browsing history across your own devices signed in to the same Apple ID. This data lives in your own iCloud account, is governed by Apple's privacy policy, and is not accessible to MW Supply Limited. You can turn iCloud off for the app in iOS Settings.
Onyx is a general-purpose private web browser. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any website or content provider. Onyx does not remove or circumvent digital rights management (DRM), and DRM-protected or paid streaming content cannot be downloaded. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to download and use any file you save, and for complying with the terms of service of the sites you visit and applicable copyright law.
Onyx is not directed to children under 13 and is rated 4+. The free tier uses Google AdMob with age-appropriate ad settings where required, and the app collects no personal data itself, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide.
If we change how Onyx handles data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store privacy labels for the affected version of the app.
