Scan, edit and search PDFs on iPhone & iPad. Version 1.0
PDF Scanner turns your camera into a fast, accurate document scanner and gives you a full PDF editor in the same app. Scans are automatically OCR'd so you can search every word — even your own handwriting and printouts — and the editor lets you reorder pages, mark them up with Apple Pencil, add a signature, and fill PDF form fields. No ads, no accounts, no data collection.
Yes. PDF Scanner is a universal app and uses Apple's built-in document camera, which gives you the same edge-detection, perspective-correction and filters you'd get in Notes — on both iPhone and iPad.
PDF Scanner uses Apple's on-device Vision text recognition at its highest accuracy setting, with language correction enabled. Recognition runs entirely on your device — nothing is uploaded.
That's expected for now. To make sure your ink stays exactly where you placed it in the saved file, PDF Scanner flattens the marked-up page into an image when you tap Apply. Pages you don't mark up keep their searchable text layer untouched.
Tap the share icon in the editor (or long-press a document in the list and choose Share) and pick Save to Files → iCloud Drive. PDF Scanner also stores documents directly in the app's own iCloud Drive folder so they appear in the Files app under iCloud Drive → PDF Scanner.
Yes. The first time you tap Sign, you draw your signature once and PDF Scanner saves it locally. From then on you just drag and resize it onto each page. Tap Redraw any time to replace it.
Nowhere automatically. PDF Scanner makes no network requests. Documents stay on your device or in your own iCloud Drive, and only leave via Share actions that you initiate. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
