Summary: the mathematics you type never leaves your device. Qedra’s solver is a complete computer algebra system built into the app, so there is no server to send a problem to — it works with the phone in aeroplane mode. There are no Qedra accounts and no login, and Qedra contains no analytics software of any kind. The free tier does show advertising, supplied by Unity LevelPlay (ironSource); that is the only part of the app that talks to a network, and Qedra Pro removes it. Nothing you type is ever part of an advert request.
Qedra is published by MW Supply Limited (“we”, “us”). We do not operate any servers of our own and we do not run any account system. There is no Qedra login, and there is nothing to delete from our systems because we hold nothing.
This is the part most people want to know, so it comes first. Every problem you enter is parsed, solved, verified and explained entirely on your device. The whole computer algebra system — the exact arithmetic, the simplifier, the calculus and linear algebra engines, the step recorder — is compiled into the app. Nothing about your problem is transmitted anywhere for solving, not to us and not to anyone else. You can confirm this yourself: turn on Airplane Mode and Qedra still solves.
None that reaches us. We have no servers, no database, and no analytics of our own. We cannot see the problems you solve, your history, or how you use the app. We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, microphone, or location.
Qedra keeps a history of the problems you have solved. In version 1.0 that history is stored only on the device you solved them on. There is no iCloud sync and no other copy: deleting an entry, or deleting the app, removes it. If syncing between your own devices is added later, this page and the App Store privacy labels will be updated before that version ships.
The free tier shows one banner advert at the bottom of the Solve screen. It is supplied by Unity LevelPlay (ironSource), whose software development kit is included in the app. Qedra Pro removes advertising entirely, and the advertising software is never started for a subscriber.
Before any advert is requested, iOS asks your permission through the standard App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, the app works exactly as before and you still see adverts — they are simply not personalised, and your device’s advertising identifier is not shared. If you accept, that identifier may be read by our mediation partner to select and measure adverts. The mathematics you type is never part of an advert request, and no problem, answer or history entry is ever sent to an advertising network.
Adverts load only in a copy of Qedra installed from the App Store. A TestFlight build, a build run from Xcode, or any other install never starts the advertising software at all.
Qedra Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, and as a one-time Lifetime purchase, through the App Store. Purchases are processed by Apple; we never see your payment details. Your entitlement is read from the App Store on your device and is tied to your Apple Account, not to any Qedra account. Apple may share aggregate, non-identifying sales information with us.

The mathematics engine, the typesetter and the interface are entirely first-party: every calculation Qedra performs is our own code, running on your device. The one third-party component is the Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) advertising software described in section 5, which serves the free tier’s banner. Qedra links no analytics and no crash-reporting library, and there is no Google advertising software in this app. Apple’s own crash reporting runs only if you have opted in under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, and what it collects goes to Apple.
Qedra asks for one permission, and only on the free tier: App Tracking Transparency, before the first advert. Declining costs you nothing — the app is unchanged and the adverts simply stop being personalised. Qedra never asks for the camera, the microphone, contacts, photos, location, or health data.
Qedra is designed for university-level mathematics and is not directed to children. It is not registered as a child-directed app with any advertising network. We collect no personal data ourselves, consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or erase. Data held by Apple on your behalf (your iCloud history, your purchase records) is subject to Apple’s own privacy controls, and you can manage it in iOS Settings. The only things shared with an advertising network are the advert request itself and, where you have allowed tracking, the advertising identifier — never your mathematics, your history, or any identifier of our own.
If we change how Qedra handles data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store privacy labels for the affected version.
