Rostra — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

In short: Rostra is built privacy-first. The business information you enter — students, classes, fees, attendance and payments — stays on your device and, if you enable it, syncs only through your own private iCloud account. We (mwsupplylimited) do not collect, see, store on our own servers, or sell your data. Rostra has no accounts and no login.

Information you enter

Everything you create in Rostra (people you teach, their contact details and notes, classes, schedules, fees, attendance, expenses, payments and statements) is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. If you keep iCloud enabled, this data is also stored in your private iCloud database so it syncs across your devices. It is governed by Apple's privacy policy and is not accessible to us.

Information we collect

None directly. Rostra does not require an account, does not have its own servers, and does not transmit your students' or your business data to us.

Advertising (free version)

Advertising in the free version is served by Unity LevelPlay (ironSource, a Unity Technologies company). Rostra no longer uses Google AdMob.

Where ads appear is deliberately limited. A single banner may appear on the Dashboard, People and Settings screens only. Rostra never places advertising over money figures, statements, the schedule, or attendance controls, and shows no full-screen interstitial ads anywhere.

Rostra also offers an optional rewarded ad: you may choose to watch a short video in exchange for 24 hours of access to next-period projections. Nothing plays unless you tap it, and declining costs you nothing.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland

Rostra does not operate a consent management platform, and therefore does not ask for — or claim — consent to personalised advertising. In these regions the app tells the ad network that no consent has been given, so the ads you see are non-personalised (contextual) and your device's advertising identifier is not used to profile you. For the same reason, Rostra does not show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt in these regions: there is nothing to track.

Everywhere else

Rostra asks, via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether you allow tracking:

• If you allow, ads may be personalised.
• If you don't, you still see ads, but non-personalised ones.

You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

See Unity's Privacy Policy for how Unity and its mediation partners handle advertising data. Rostra Pro removes all ads, and Pro devices never initialise the ads SDK at all. The ads SDK is likewise never initialised in development or TestFlight builds.

Subscriptions

Rostra Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment and manages the subscription; we never receive your payment details. Rostra only learns whether your device currently has an active Pro entitlement.

Diagnostics

Rostra does not include third-party analytics or crash-tracking SDKs. Apple may provide us anonymous, aggregated crash and usage statistics if you have opted in to share them with developers in iOS Settings; these contain no personal data.

Children

Rostra is a business tool intended for the instructor (an adult). It is not directed at children. Any details an instructor records about a student are entered and controlled by the instructor and remain on the instructor's device/iCloud.

Your control

You can edit or archive any record at any time, export everything to a CSV file, and delete the app to remove its on-device data. To remove iCloud copies, sign out of iCloud or delete the app's data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
