About

SciCalc is a clean, fast scientific and graphing calculator with real expression parsing, an interactive function plotter, a scrolling tape of past calculations, persistent history, memory, degree/radian trig, and a dedicated landscape keypad. No third-party accounts or sign-in — the free version keeps your calculations on your device, and SciCalc Pro syncs your history across your iPhone and iPad through your own private iCloud. The free version is supported by a single banner ad; Pro removes it.

Getting started

Type a whole expression and press =. Operator precedence and parentheses are handled correctly. Try 5sin(30) + π².
2nd key reveals inverse trig (sin⁻¹, etc.), 10ˣ, eˣ, x!, τ, and cube root.
Ans inserts the last result. After pressing =, an operator (+, ×, etc.) continues from Ans automatically.
Tap any past calculation on the tape to insert its expression, its result, or copy the result to the clipboard.
Tap the graph button to plot a function of x — pinch to zoom, drag to pan, and trace exact values. Free to try with one function; Pro graphs up to six at once.
Rotate to landscape for a wide 9×5 keypad that puts every function on one page.
DEG / RAD button at the top-left toggles angle mode.
Tap anywhere on the input line to place the cursor exactly where you want it.

SciCalc Pro

The full calculator is free, including graphing one function and your most recent 50 calculations. The free version shows a single banner ad. SciCalc Pro adds:

Remove ads — enjoy SciCalc with no banner ads.
Full graphing — plot up to six functions of x (e.g. sin(x), x²−3, 1/x) at once on one interactive graph, each in its own color, with pinch‑zoom, pan, and trace.
Unlimited history — keep every calculation (the free tier keeps the most recent 50).
iCloud sync — your history stays in sync across your iPhone and iPad through your own private iCloud, and is restored when you set up a new device.

Pro is an auto‑renewable subscription: $1.99/month or $9.99/year (with a 7‑day free trial on the annual plan). Prices may vary by region. Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Tap the crown icon in the app to subscribe or manage your membership.

FAQ

Why does -2² equal 4 instead of -4?

Unary minus binds tighter than the power operator in SciCalc, matching the iOS built-in Calculator. If you want -(2²) = -4, type -(2^2) or 0 - 2^2.

Does 3.5! work?

Yes. Non-integer factorials use the gamma function: 3.5! ≈ 11.6317.

Is my history backed up?

Your history is stored on your device and survives relaunches and updates. The free tier keeps the most recent 50 calculations; SciCalc Pro keeps every calculation with no limit and syncs it across your devices through your own private iCloud — so it's there on both your iPhone and iPad, and restored when you set up a new device.

Where is my data sent?

We run no servers and never receive your calculations. In the free version your data stays on your device; with SciCalc Pro, your history syncs through your own private iCloud (Apple's CloudKit) — it lives in your personal iCloud account, visible only to you, and we never receive it. Separately, in the free version Google AdMob serves the banner ad and collects limited device and ad-interaction data to do so; iOS asks for your tracking permission first, and you can decline and still use every feature.
