Summary: Your calculations are never sent to us. In the free version they stay on your device; with SciCalc Pro, your history also syncs through your own private iCloud (Apple's CloudKit), staying in your personal iCloud account. The free version shows ads served through Unity LevelPlay, which collects limited device and ad-interaction data to do so. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland we ask your permission first, in our own dialog, and declining costs you no features. Upgrading to SciCalc Pro removes all ads. We have no account system and run no servers of our own.
SciCalc is developed by MW Supply Limited (“we”). This policy explains what stays on your device and what is processed by the limited third-party services we use to show ads (free version) and to offer an optional Pro upgrade. The app has no account system and no backend — you can use every feature without signing in to us.
SciCalc stores the following on your device so the app remembers it between launches:
This stays on your device, is never sent to us, can be cleared at any time with the Clear History button or the MC key, and is removed entirely if you delete the app.
iCloud sync (SciCalc Pro). If you subscribe to Pro, your calculation history is also synced through your own private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit, so it stays in sync across your iPhone and iPad and is restored when you set up a new device. This data lives in your personal iCloud account under your Apple ID — it is visible only to you, handled under Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy, and we never receive it or have access to it. History is not synced to iCloud in the free version.
The free version of SciCalc is supported by ads served through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource), a mediation service that runs an auction between advertising networks. There are three places an ad can appear:

This information is collected and used by Unity, not by us, under Unity's Player and App User Privacy Policy. MW Supply Limited only receives aggregate, non-identifying reports such as ad impressions and estimated revenue. Your calculations are never shared with any advertiser or used to target ads.
App Tracking Transparency. iOS asks whether SciCalc may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track,” the advertising identifier is not used. You can use the app fully either way.
Your consent choice (EEA, UK & Switzerland). Where the law requires your prior permission, SciCalc asks for it directly, in its own dialog, before any ad is requested. Both answers are presented with equal weight, nothing is pre-selected, and declining costs you nothing: you keep every feature and still see ads — they are simply generic rather than personalized. You can change your answer at any time in the app's Settings, as easily as you gave it. If you never answer, we treat that as “no.”
Removing ads. Upgrading to SciCalc Pro removes all three ad formats entirely. While you are a Pro member the app does not even start the advertising SDK, let alone request or display an ad.
SciCalc Pro removes all ads, unlocks multi-function graphing (up to six functions at once), keeps unlimited calculation history and syncs it through your own iCloud. It is available either as an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or annual) or as a one-time lifetime purchase that never renews. Purchases, billing, renewals, and refunds are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit — we never see or store your name, card number, or Apple ID. To unlock Pro, the app checks your purchase entitlement directly with the App Store on your device; this check does not identify you to us. Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
Apart from the advertising and purchase services described above — and, for Pro subscribers, syncing your history to your own private iCloud as described in section 2 — SciCalc makes no network requests of its own and has no servers to talk to. Your calculations are never transmitted to us, and in the free version they never leave your device.
To show ads in the free version, SciCalc includes the Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) mediation SDK and the Unity Ads adapter it auctions through. These are governed by Unity's Player and App User Privacy Policy. The consent prompt described in section 3 is our own — it is part of SciCalc, not a third-party SDK, so no additional company is involved in asking you.
SciCalc contains no analytics frameworks and no crash reporting other than Apple's own first-party reporting (governed by Apple's privacy policy, and only if you opted in to Share With App Developers in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements). SciCalc Pro members are not shown ads, and the app does not request ads for them.
SciCalc does not access your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or health data. The advertising identifier is used only for ads in the free version, and only if you allow tracking as described in section 3.
SciCalc is a general-audience calculator rated 4+ on the App Store, and is declared to our advertising partner as not directed to children. Because the free version shows ads, we use the ad-quality controls our partner provides: served creatives are screened for adult, gambling, alcohol, drug and dating content, and flagged advertisers are blocked across our apps. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Upgrading to SciCalc Pro removes all ads.
If we change how SciCalc handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store privacy nutrition labels for the affected version.
