GPS Alarm Privacy Policy

Effective 1 June 2026 · Last updated 19 July 2026

Summary: GPS Alarm has no accounts. Your location is used only on your device — to detect when you arrive at or leave the places you choose, and, if you turn on always-on monitoring, to watch your saved places continuously in the background even when no trip is running. It is never sent to us or anyone else. The app is free and supported by ads (Google AdMob), which collect device and usage identifiers to show and measure ads. Subscribing to Pro removes all ads. You control ad tracking through the iOS prompt.

1. Who we are

GPS Alarm is developed by MW Supply Limited ("we"). We do not operate our own servers and we do not run an account system. We cannot identify you personally.

2. Location data

The core of the app is detecting when you arrive at — or leave — a place you choose. To do this, iOS provides your device's location to the app. During an active trip this happens continuously, including in the background, so the alarm can wake you with the screen locked.

If you turn on always-on monitoring — an optional feature you enable per device in Settings — iOS also lets the app know when you enter or leave any of your saved places even when no trip is running, so it can alert you in the background. This mode is off unless you turn it on, and it needs the "Always" location permission; the free, single-destination arrival alarm does not require it. You can turn it off at any time.

Your location never leaves your device. It is used in real time, on your iPhone or iPad, only to measure the distance to the places you set and to trigger your alerts. We do not collect it, store it on any server, transmit it, sell it, or share it — and it is never used for advertising. We have no way to see where you are or where you travel.

3. Your saved stops, history & settings

The stops you save, your trip history (a record of the stops you've been woken at), and your preferences (alert style, sound, wake-up zone size, and so on) are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, your saved stops and trip history are also synced to your own private iCloud database (using Apple's CloudKit) so they stay up to date and backed up across your devices. That data lives in your Apple Account; we have no access to it and never receive a copy.

4. Advertising (free version)

The free version of GPS Alarm shows ads provided by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect and process information such as device identifiers (including the Identifier for Advertisers, IDFA), a coarse, IP-based approximate location, device type and settings, and your interactions with ads. We do not control what data Google collects; its handling is governed by Google's policies. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Your choices: When you first use the free version, iOS asks whether to allow tracking (App Tracking Transparency). If you don't allow it, ads are still shown but are non-personalized. Where required (for example in the EEA/UK), a consent form is presented before ads load. You can change your tracking choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Subscribing to GPS Alarm Pro removes all ads and the tracking prompt entirely.

5. Notifications

The app schedules local notifications on your device to show the wake-up alert. These are created and delivered entirely on your device and are not sent through us or any third party.

6. Subscriptions

GPS Alarm Pro is sold as an auto-renewable subscription processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. Apple handles billing, renewals, and receipts under Apple's Privacy Policy.

7. Information we do not collect ourselves

We (MW Supply Limited) operate no servers and run no analytics of our own. Aside from the advertising data collected by Google AdMob in the free version (described above), we do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or your location.

8. Children

GPS Alarm is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Data retention & security

We hold no personal data on any server we control. App data stays on your device and in your own iCloud, and can be removed at any time by deleting the app. Advertising data is retained and secured by Google under its policies.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how GPS Alarm handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above, and reflect material changes in the App Store privacy details for the affected version.
