Summary: Vivace has no accounts and no analytics, and we (the developer) never receive your music or personal information. Your audio files stay on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, the songs you like or dislike sync through your own iCloud account so your taste follows you between devices — that goes to Apple, never to us. The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob, which uses a device advertising identifier. The optional online-lyrics feature sends only a track’s title, artist, album and length to a lyrics database. Vivace Pro removes the ads.
Vivace is published by MW Supply Limited (“we”, “us”). We operate no servers of our own and run no account system. There is no login.
None that reaches us directly. Vivace has no servers, no database, and no analytics of our own. We cannot see your songs, your library, or how you use the app. Data leaves your device in only two ways: to the third-party services described below (advertising, online lyrics, and payments), each of which you can avoid; and to your own iCloud account (section 5), which only you and Apple can see.
When you add music, Vivace uses Apple’s Files picker or accepts files shared to it from another app. The files you choose are copied into the app’s private storage on your device and read locally for playback. They are never sent to us or to any third party.
All audio decoding — including DSD-to-PCM conversion, the equalizer, and metadata, artwork and lyric extraction — happens locally on your device. No part of your audio is sent off the device for processing.
Vivace uses your own iCloud account — never a server of ours — to carry a small amount of data between your devices. It is stored in your personal iCloud under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to it and no way to read it.
The free version of Vivace shows ads on the library/browse screens (never over the player or during playback) using Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob may access a device advertising identifier and limited technical/usage data. This is handled under Google’s Privacy Policy.
If you enable online lyrics (a Vivace Pro feature, controlled by a setting), Vivace looks up lyrics from LRCLIB, a free community lyrics database. To find a match, Vivace sends only the track title, artist, album and duration of the song you are playing. No account, device identifier, location, or personal information is sent. Fetched lyrics are cached on your device. Leave the setting off (or stay on the free tier) and no lyric look-ups are made.
Vivace Pro is sold through the App Store as an auto-renewing subscription or a one-time purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple; we never see your payment details. Apple may share aggregate, non-identifying sales information with us.
Vivace does not request access to your microphone, contacts, photos, or location. It asks for tracking permission only for the purpose of personalised advertising in the free version (App Tracking Transparency); you may decline. The Files picker shown when you import music is run by iOS itself and only returns the items you choose.
Vivace is not directed at children. The free version serves ads in a non-personalised mode unless you grant tracking permission.
If we change how Vivace handles data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store privacy labels for the affected version.
