FOR DANCERS & TEACHERS
Reuse a dancer’s rehearsal settings with Accompanist Pro
Different dancers may need different rehearsal speeds for the same music. With Accompanist Pro, you can save named speed and volume routines under a song and replay those adjustments on the next run-through.
Try the free rehearsal controls first
Import a playable audio file, select your song, and use the live speed and volume controls to find useful settings. Loop a passage if you need to repeat it. These live controls are free, with banner ads in the free version. Spotify and Apple Music subscription streams are not supported.
Save the adjustments you want to reuse
In Accompanist, Record means recording speed and volume changes as the song plays. It does not mean recording video or microphone audio. With Pro, save the take with a name that helps you find it again, such as a dancer’s first name or a rehearsal label. Avoid including personal information you do not need.
To make a take, choose Record, adjust speed and volume as the song plays, then choose Stop & Save. Name the routine and choose Save. Recording adjustments is free; saving and replaying them requires Pro.
Use Profiles to find the saved routine for that song. Saved routines are called profiles in some controls. Check the routine name on the player, then replay it and listen once before relying on it during class. The app follows the saved speed and volume changes. You can edit adjustment points in the profile editor.
Decide whether Pro fits your teaching
Pro is most useful when you want to reuse these adjustments across repeated rehearsals. If you only need to slow a song or loop a passage occasionally, you can keep using the free live controls.
Other Pro features include adjusted-audio export, saved charts and iCloud library features. They are optional; a music catalogue is not included.
