Emberhush · MW Supply Limited
Last updated: 1 October 2026

Emberhush has no ads, tracking SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs. You do not need an Emberhush account. Your focus content is stored on your device, with optional sync through your private iCloud database.

Information used on your device

Emberhush saves the information needed to provide its features: tasks and steps you enter, parked thoughts, focus-session records, settings, sound choices, and your earned Light and World collection, placements and names. It uses this information to restore your workspace, show your progress and run the features you choose.

Sound is generated locally. Emberhush does not access your camera, microphone, location or health data. We do not send your task or thought content to an advertising or analytics service, and we do not sell it.

Optional iCloud

If you choose Sync with iCloud, Emberhush uses Apple’s CloudKit service and your private iCloud database for supported tasks, thoughts, settled session records, settings and World data. It also uses account-scoped identifiers and sync records to keep data associated with the correct account and workspace. This data is not posted publicly or sent to a server operated by MW Supply Limited.

iCloud availability and transfers depend on Apple, your account, network access and device settings. Screen Time selections and blocking state remain on the device and are not synced by Emberhush. System permission decisions also remain device-specific.

Device backups are separate from the app’s sync feature and are controlled by your system backup settings. Apple services are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Optional task suggestions

When you request Tiny First Step suggestions on a supported device, the task text is processed with Apple’s on-device language model. Emberhush does not send that request to a cloud AI provider. Suggestions you choose to save become part of your task data and may then sync if you enabled iCloud. You can enter steps manually instead.

Notifications, alarms and system surfaces

With the relevant permission, Emberhush schedules the alerts you choose and uses system surfaces such as widgets and Live Activities to show session information. Task names or reminder text can be visible on those surfaces; use the app’s privacy options and your system notification settings to control what is shown. You can revoke notification and alarm permissions in system settings.

Screen Time and Calendar

If you authorize blocking, Apple’s Screen Time frameworks provide privacy-preserving selections for the apps, categories and websites you choose. Emberhush stores these selections and blocking configuration locally so the app and its blocking extensions can enforce your choices. It does not upload them to iCloud or our servers. You can change selections in the app and revoke Screen Time access in system settings.

If you choose to add a trial reminder to Calendar, Emberhush supplies a draft to Apple’s event editor. You review and decide whether to save it. The app does not request access to read your existing calendar events. A saved event is managed by Calendar and may sync through your calendar account; remove it there if you no longer want it.

Purchases

Apple processes in-app purchases. Emberhush uses verified StoreKit transaction and subscription information, such as product, transaction, entitlement and renewal details, to provide access and display membership status. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple may provide us with App Store sales and usage reports under its own settings and policies; Emberhush includes no separate analytics SDK.

Retention and deletion

Your saved workspace remains on your device, and in iCloud if enabled, until you remove it. Recovery copies and pending sync or deletion records may be retained while an operation is incomplete.

To start deletion, open Settings → Help & privacy → Data & iCloud → Delete all my data, then review the confirmation. For a workspace connected to iCloud, this also starts the iCloud deletion process. Follow the progress shown in the app: deletion may require a connection or retry, and cleanup is not fully confirmed while a pending message remains.

Uninstalling the app does not itself erase iCloud copies, device backups, saved Calendar events or Apple’s purchase records, and it does not cancel subscriptions. Manage backups, Calendar events and subscriptions in the relevant Apple settings. For help with a pending deletion or a privacy request, contact us below.

Support email and this website

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include, such as a message or screenshot. We use it to answer you and investigate the issue. Support correspondence is kept while needed for those purposes and the related support history; you can ask us to delete it. Do not send passwords or payment-card details.
