Purchase and subscription help

For Dashward 1.4.1 · Updated 3 November 2026

If you paid for Dashward but a feature is unavailable, check your purchase and the feature's access requirements before buying again. Keep the app installed to protect local recordings.

Restore an existing purchase

  1. Check that Media & Purchases uses the Apple Account that bought the subscription. Sharing and Team membership also use iCloud; these account roles are separate.
  2. Open Dashward's Membership screen on iPhone or iPad, or its account settings on Mac, and choose Restore Purchases.
  3. If Apple asks you to authenticate, complete the prompt directly on your device. Never send your password or verification code to support.
  4. Wait for the result, then check the active plan. If Apple cannot be reached, check your connection and retry later.

A subscription bought on your Apple Account works across supported iPhone, iPad and Mac installations. Restoring does not buy a new plan. An invited teammate normally uses the owner's Business coverage and does not restore the owner's purchase into their own Apple Account.

A purchase is pending or was cancelled

A pending purchase may need approval or completion by Apple before access is granted. A cancelled checkout does not activate a new plan. If you see a charge but no active entitlement, use Restore Purchases and check Apple's subscription settings; do not repeatedly subscribe to troubleshoot it.

Apple reports a billing problem

Review your payment method and renewal status in your Apple Account. A failed renewal can interrupt paid access. Updating the payment method lets Apple retry collection; Dashward cannot change your card or guarantee when Apple completes the renewal.

The plan is active, but live video is unavailable

A purchase alone does not approve a monitor or start driver sharing. Confirm the source is online with Dashward open, the monitor is approved, and the driver has reviewed and started sharing. Check the in-app time/spending-limit notice. Buying another subscription does not fix a connection or bypass a service limit. See the remote viewing guide.

Change or cancel renewal

Use Manage Subscription with Apple to review the renewal date, change an available plan or cancel. Apple's confirmation shows when a change takes effect. Deleting Dashward does not cancel a subscription. Current offers and local prices appear before you confirm a purchase; a trial is offered only when Apple confirms eligibility.

Original Personal plans and seat packs

The original Personal monthly and yearly plans closed to new subscriptions on 6 October 2026 and will not renew. Existing paid access lasts through its paid term, with no automatic move to a new plan. Previously purchased seat packs renew independently and add people only while Business Pro is active; manage both subscriptions with Apple.
